Australia's first full-colour Thermomix book, In the Mix, has been crowned the Australian winner of the Gourmand World Cookbooks Awards 2011. In the Mix, written by Dani Valent and designed by The Slattery Media Group, will now challenge the other winners in the 'entertainment' category for the title of 'Gourmand Best in the World,' the award for the best cookbook in this category in the world for 2011. The winner will be announced on March 6, 2012, at the annual awards event.

The Gourmand World Cookbook Awards were founded in 1995 by Edouard Cointreau. Every year, they honour the best food and wine books. In 2010, 154 countries participated in the awards, with more than 8,000 books entered. Find out more about the awards here.
